In 2015, the United Nations General Assembly created 17 SDGs, or Sustainable Development Goals, to help “achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.” Saiseikai is a hospital group in Japan, with many different branches and healthcare organizations under them. They incorporate these SDGs into their three company values: relieve people in need, provide welfare for children, the elderly, and the disabled, and use new technology to accomplish these goals. Here, we will look into the specific ways Saiseikai encourages social inclusion of underreached groups, like those with low income or those with unsatisfactory family conditions, specifically by the enactment of the Nadeshiko Plan. This plan outlines the exact ways they will invest in their community.
