Hispanic Heritage Month Events: 2022

As we get ready to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, please join us in the Special Exhibits section (Second floor, Atkins Library) for a bilingual, interactive exhibition to celebrate and learn about our Spanish and how it intersects with the Hispanic and Latinx identities. Come browse through the book exhibit and share your experiences in our activities about how Spanish is used by our communities. We hope to bring light to our experiences, cultural depth, and language richness. After you participate (or even if you don’t get a chance to participate in the exhibit), come join us on Oct 3 (12:15-1:00 LRC /COED 434) for a discussion facilitated by Dr. Pérez Quiñones on the Latinx and Hispanic community in UNC Charlotte. The exhibit as well as the discussion is open to everyone (Latinx/Hispanic and otherwise), please tell your students, invite them to join in the celebration! This exhibit is the result of an outstanding collaboration with Natalie Ornat, Atkins library The talk/discussion has been possible thanks to the collaboration with Bobby Hobgood, and Dr. Pérez Quiñones
