Congratulations to David Dalton for hosting a very successful Mexico East conference on Friday September 11 and Saturday September 12. The conference was attended by approximately 30 scholars from the Eastern US. It was co-hosted by University of South Carolina and UNC Charlotte. Our department was a co-sponsor.

Congratulations to Dr. Chikako Mori who was nominated for the UNC Charlotte Award for Teaching Excellence. The nominiation recognizes Dr. Mori’s dedication and excellence in the classroom. Being nominated for this award reflects the impact of the facutly member’s teaching and the extent to which others in our community hold them in high regard.
