Elena Artsiukhevich
Elena was born, raised, and lived most of her life in Minsk, Belarus (a country in Eastern Europe). She graduated from Minsk State Linguistic University with her BA in Language Interpreting and Translating and Intercultural Communications (English and Spanish) and MA in Linguistics, worked as an English and Spanish instructor for the Department of Foreign Languages back in Belarus. In 2013 she moved to New York and earned her MA in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs from Pace University. After relocating to Charlotte three years ago, she started working as an Admissions Coordinator at Southeastern College. Elena joined UNC Charlotte in 2021 as an enrollment specialist for the distance education programs. In her current role as an academic advisor for the Department of Languages, Cultures and Translation, Elena assists and supports undergraduate students who are interested in learning foreign languages and eager to expand their cultural knowledge. She is the professional advisor for all Majors in French, German, Japanese and Spanish. Outside of work, Elena loves spending time with her husband and their daughter Lucy, traveling and exploring new places.
