Ria Ma

Ria Ma is an adjunct instructor of Korean in the Department of Languages, Cultures and Translation at UNC Charlotte. She holds a Master of Education in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and a nationally certified Korean Language Teacher qualification from South Korea. She has taught Korean language and culture at the University of Iowa and the King Sejong Institute at the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong. Her teaching emphasizes communicative, task-based, and learner-centered approaches that support students in developing practical language skills and understanding Korean culture and society.
