Born and raised in Madrid (Spain) and moved to the US when she was 14, María has been linked to her first language, Spanish, her whole life. After earning a certification degree in Spanish Translation during her undergraduate student life at UNC Charlotte, she decided to continue her passion to be a bridging connection between Spanish and English and pursue a Spanish master’s degree in Translation and Interpretation in her alma mater (with a graduation date of December 2024). She has collaborated in different spaces that involve Spanish translation, such as transcription, subtitling, and even taking a leap at teaching with other faculty in the university.
