Maria Garcia Soria

Maria Garcia Soria is from Albemarle, North Carolina, and is a graduate student and first-generation college student at UNC Charlotte. She has a strong passion for languages and culture, which has guided both her academic and personal pursuits.

Maria is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Spanish with a concentration in Language, Literature, and Culture. Outside of her studies, she enjoys traveling and going to AMC Theaters.

Her goal is to continue growing academically and professionally during her time at UNC Charlotte and to eventually teach at the university level, where she hopes to inspire others through language and cultural education.
