Ann González
Ann González is Professor Emerita of Spanish and Latin American Studies. She taught for the last 30 years. She served as Chair of the Department of Languages and Culture Studies (now named the Department of Languages, Cultures and Translation) from 2015-2019. Her research areas include Latin American narrative, Central American literature, Hispanic children’s literature, and translation. She wrote three monographs and a textbook on Hispanic children’s literature. She also co-edited a volume of the Dictionary of Literary Biography on Latin American authors. Dr. González is originally from North Carolina but has lived over nine years in Costa Rica and more than a year in Spain. Her Ph.D in Comparative Literature is from the University of South Carolina.
