Student Intern returns to Charlotte East Language Academy

Gianna Pettit standing in front of a museum hallway.

Gianna Pettit is a senior majoring in Health Systems Management from Raleigh, North Carolina. She is participating in LACS 4410 as an intern in Spanish at Charlotte East Language Academy. This is her second semester helping to teach Spanish, and she is happily doing so as she continues to learn Spanish by integrating into the internship program.

Would Gianna Pettit recommend other students participate in the internship in CMS Schools to expand their language skills? “Absolutely! I think I’m not the same person I was when I walked in,” exclaims Petit. “I have a greater appreciation for the education system, which helped me relearn and grow in Spanish [language], learning more and understanding the importance of culture and its effect on childhood,” said Petit.

Thank you for all you do.

All the best,

Anabel
