Welcome to Dr. Iván Parra Garcia, Lecturer in Spanish!

Dr. Parra Garcia holds  Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Michigan, an  M.F.A. in Spanish Creative Writing from the University of Iowa, as well as an M.A. in Crossways in European Humanities as part of the Erasmus Mundus Program. His teaching focuses on the development of Spanish communication and intercultural understanding through communicative activities, experiential learning, creative expression, and critical reflection. His background in learning experience design informs his use of educational technology, and accessible resources, pathways that help students develop the communicative and intercultural skills to use Spanish inside and outside the classroom.
