Dear colleagues, 

Congratulations. We have made it through exam week, albeit with a hiccup on Thursday and Friday, when Canvas was not available. As a result grades are now due on Tuesday, May 12 at noon. I hope you were able to make up the lost time from the outage and that your students managed to turn in everything. 

I will be out of the office Monday and Tuesday this week and available for office hours W, R and F. 

Starting on May 18, our Associate Chair, Dr. Kai Werbeck, will take over as Acting Chair until June 30. In addition, as per the Dean’s permission, staff will have two remote days starting on May 18.  The following will be the distribution of staff in our department:

I would like to thank you for a wonderful year. You have all contributed to the success of our department. I look forward to seeing you all in August. Remember our first department meeting will be on August 21. This year, we will not have a retreat in the week before classes start.
