Congratulations to Javier García León for being awarded the Frances Lumsden Gwynn Award by CHESS. The award comes with a research stipend. 

Congratulations to Mónica Rodríguez-Castro and Concepción Godev for the publication of their co-authored peer-reviewed article “Implicit Agent Se-Constructions: Modeling the Language Style in Scientific Abstracts” in Revista Española de Lingüística Aplicada /Spanish Journal of Applied Linguistics. https://www.jbe-platform.com/content/journals/10.1075/resla.22022.rod.

Congratulations to Ryan Augustyniak, Susana Cisneros, David Dalton and Anton Pujol who were honored at the CHESS Faculty Achievement Celebration. 

Ryan was honored as a finalist for the Outstanding Teaching Award by a Full-Time Faculty Member. 

Susana Cisneros was honored for her Excelente Award as Higher Education Teacher of the Year.

David Dalton was honored for the publication of two books: 

David Dalton was also recognized for having been named the Ruth G. Shaw Humanities Fellow.

And Anton Pujol was honored for the publication of his book:

2024 Day of Remembrance
The University will honor the lives of Reed Parlier and Riley Howell and recognize the strength of our survivors at 8:30 am, Tuesday, April 30, with a wreath laying and bell ringing at the site of the memorial. See more information: 2024 Day of Remembrance
